Why this exists

A small stand for human dignity.

This started with a small, specific irritation: hearing good people — talented, funny, tired, real people — described in meetings as “resources”. As if they were server capacity. As if the word didn’t matter.

It matters. Language is where culture is quietly built or quietly corroded. Call someone a resource for long enough and you start making resource-shaped decisions about them — and they start feeling like one. The fix isn’t a values poster. It’s a thousand small choices to treat people like people, starting with what you call them.

So this is a movement, not a campaign with an end date. No gatekeeping, no shame, no pretending compassion and commercial sense are enemies. Just a steady, slightly cheeky insistence on one obvious idea: people are not resources.

What we hold to

1

Right, and it works

Dignity first — and it happens to build better, more loyal organisations too.

2

Provocation, not preaching

We aim the wit at the language and the systems, never at a named person.

3

Always constructive

Every joke comes with something genuinely useful attached.

Who’s behind it

This is run by a leadership coach who simply got tired of hearing humans described as inventory. The coaching and workshop work quietly pays for the stickers and the hosting — but it stays deliberately in the background. This movement is not a funnel, and the honest test for everything here is: “would I still do this if it brought in zero business?” If the answer is ever no, it doesn’t ship.

Where the money goes

When there’s merch, it’s made demand-led and priced close to cost. Any margin pays the actual people who design, pack and post it (including, at peak sticker season, a couple of teenage sons on questionable hourly rates). Nobody’s getting rich off “people are not resources” — that would be a bit on the nose.
